Living a healthy, resilient, harmonious life in a challenging world – practical ways of getting there and maintaining it.
18th - 20th October 2019
Monkton Wyld Court
The chances are you are, or have been, dealing with physical, mental and emotional health problems. Lots of research suggests that people aren’t dealing well with the stresses and strains of modern life.
Solutions exist but they can feel too complicated or take too much time to put them into everyday practice. So, things begin to back up and more problems pile up.
In this course you will learn some practical and simple ways of being healthy and sustaining it. They will be things you can do in a few minutes each day and/or in the moment when you are facing challenges.
The heart of what we teach are energy skills (the missing link in many health systems). Energy skill approaches have always had good health and resilience as their essence. So, in this course we will be looking at the best ways of developing those skills and implementing them given today’s challenges.
Despite what we teach having been around for centuries we like to keep up with modern research. During the course we will:
Share some of the latest health and resilience research
Show how energy skills relate to this understanding
Explain and demonstrate simple things you can do to improve your health and resilience
We won’t give you lots of complicated understanding or routines that you can’t remember. The focus of the course is to help you feel comfortable you are doing the minimum necessary to be and remain healthy.
The course starts at 9.30am on Saturday 19th October. You can arrive in the afternoon on Friday 18th October for dinner at 6pm and a welcome talk. We'll start at 9.00am on Sunday 20th and aim to finish by 4pm.
Cost: £295 + Board

What People Say...
I'd been to Tim's Qigong workshop the weekend before, and had already let go of a lot of old stuff. I've done quite a bit of tai chi and qigong, but the work with Tim was really something special.
Tim and his teaching partner Barry amplified the chi so that we could feel it moving in our bodies, so strongly that it was impossible not to move with it. The powerful flow of chi quickly and easily dissolved really old blockages, and what's also amazing is that after only two days at the workshop I can get chi flowing like that on my own, and it's pure pleasure to practice.
If you have heard us talking before, or have read much of this website, you will know we talk about energy flow a lot. That is because it is the fundamental skill of “the skills of using energy”. It is why we often teach Generating Energy Flow as the first course in a program. It means new students can come to the course. It also means experienced students get to practice and develop that fundamental skill.
At the moment we haven’t had a chance to write much of our own words on the methods of Dan Tien Breathing, Cosmic Shower or Bone Marrow Cleansing. If you are interested in understanding more about these Chi Kung methods you can contact us or we will be posting some information at these links soon – Dan Tien Breathing, Cosmic Shower, Bone Marrow Cleansing.
Why would anyone decide to come? Here are some possible reasons:
- struggling with a particular illness or challenge, and want to be free of it
- want to deal more easily with the stresses and strains of everyday life
- want to have more energy to maintain good health and do the things you want to do
- want to have a clearer mind and body to be able to do things more effectively
- want to feel more 'connected', feel more at ease, experience life as more meaningful
- meet up with old friends or get together with people who you can talk to about this stuff
- developing energy skills for applying to a therapy practice
- developing energy skills for applying to sports or martial arts
- you have heard about Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit, or have read one of his books
- you have heard about Chi Kung in general and want to get a direct experience
If there is a specific issue or situation you want to address – please get in touch with us to see if the course is suitable to help you
If any of this applies to someone you know – please pass on the details or put them in touch with us
If you already have these skills – you might wonder if this course will be helpful or worthwhile. Our experience is that when we train with our Sifu we get more benefits out of practice and generally have a couple of ‘a-ha’ moments that means the ‘penny drops’. If you have trained for a while you will know what we mean. We run these courses to also help already skillful people have some ‘penny drop’ moments.
Retreat will be held at:-
Monkton Wyld Court, Bridport, Dorset.
Confirmation and directions will be sent out to each participant.
Monkton Wyld Court provides full board accommodation for £53 per night on a shared room basis; this includes bed, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Other type of accommodation may be available.

What People are Saying...
I found this residential two day immersion in Qi Gong most helpful. It gave much more space and time to establish familiarity with the foundations of Qi Gong than shorter sessions, or even one day courses. I appreciated the opportunity to revisit these each day over a longer time period, rather than just be expanding a repertoire of exercises ('less is more').
We were also able to consider how to bring this into the daily life, discussing with others in non class time ways that we might do this.
A great course, thank you!
I have been practicing Qi Gong on and off for two years, discontinued because I was not able to find the Joy within my practice. Then I was introduced to Fully Alive. After finishing the course my whole perspective of Qi Gong changes a 180 degrees, never expected to experience this amount of laughter and profound teachings at the same time. This course allowed me to reconnect with my inner child, see it's qualities and re-integrate this with who I am now, meaning to play like I did before and now with focus and flow towards better health and a happy future. To learn all these things with so much enjoyment and laughter still amazes me. My deep gratitude to Tim and Barry of Fully Alive.
Many thanks to you and Barry for clearly and generously sharing your experiences of Shaolin Cosmos Qigong over the weekend. I found the workshop fun, informative and practical.
>Coming away from the Qigong retreat it feels like channels are opening up, I just feel more alive, more relaxed, more going on internally. What can I say… it just makes me feel happier. Things seem to be a lot easier, mentally and physically. The mind is more relaxed, and I’m just not getting stressed like before. I’m not so bothered about the things that bothered me before.
