The Shaolin Wahnam Summer Camp is an annual, international event that allows people to learn high-level Shaolin Arts directly from a lineage holder, Shaolin Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit (Sifu).
Shaolin Cosmos Qi Gong (Chi Kung), Nei Gung, Shaolin Kung Fu and Tai Chi Chuan develop skills that lead to health, vitality, mental clarity, freshness, and open-hearted enjoyment of life.
UK Summer Camp 2018
Tonbridge School - July 9th to 15th
For many people who are unwell becoming healthy is an important aim. They often want to continue with a healthy, happy and long life and this can involve making useful and meaningful changes in various ways.
This year’s Summer Camp is about: becoming more skillful at bringing about useful and meaningful change.
This year Sifu will be teaching three days of Nei Gung, which he describes as “Chi Kung, focused at a deeper level”. He also wants to teach a Wudang KungFu (Tai Chi Chuan) course that focuses on training energy and cultivating your spirit. At the end of the course we believe it will lead to you understanding how you can use your Tai Chi Chuan skills to achieve something meaningful in your life.

The Foundations of Nei Gung for Healthier Living
Nei Gung for Meaningful Change
Nei Gung for Expanding Awareness
The more people we meet in the world the more we realise how wonderful we all are. We see people wanting to make a meaningful contribution to the world, and many are achieving it. Physical or mental health problems, or a lack of energy or feeling overwhelmed, can sometimes reduce our effectiveness. Sometimes it is not clear how to play our part in creating useful changes or benefits in the wider world. Sometimes it comes down to a lack of belief in ourselves or the courage or conviction to believe we can make a difference.
During this year’s courses Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit will share how to become more skillful at bringing about useful and meaningful change, while remaining healthy, happy and resilient.
The "Foundations of Nei Gung" course will be different from the fundamental Chi Kung course Sifu runs, "Generating Energy Flow". As Nei Gung is a deeper level of Chi Kung, deeper techniques will be used when entering into a chi kung, or nei gung, state of mind.
To get over the barriers of poor health, lack of energy or overwhelm these courses will include skills for maintaining good health and developing internal force.
To help develop the resilience to carry a plan through these courses will include skills for developing: courage, confidence and self belief. Grandmaster Wong Kew Kit is also skilful at helping people get over those "mind worms" that can tell you, you are useless or can't achieve anything.
To help when things don't go the way we hope these courses will also teach the skills of tapping into energy reserves and courage when needed.
The last Nei Gung course focusses in the skills of clarity of mind and expanded awareness (sometimes called Zen Mind). This can help avoid getting stuck with limited: beliefs, techniques, methods, understanding or perspective. It can lead us "beyond self" - a good place to be when planning or doing things for the common good.
It seems to us like a wonderful time to be alive.
Experiencing and Expressing
The originator of Tai Chi Chuan (Taijiquan), Zhang San Feng, talks about intention being an “agent of the spirit” and “uniting spirit and energy”. This course will use the simple yet profound 16 pattern abridged Zhang San Feng set to allow course participants to achieve this. Ultimately, it will help you to achieve whatever is meaningful in your life.
Entering the way nourish heart stabilize nature,
accumulate energy focus spirit be main path.
Practice this art must follow thus.
Heart not peaceful, nature disturbed.
Energy not accumulated, spirit disordered.
Heart and nature not united, spirit and energy not coordinated, four limbs and hundred meridians of body lifeless, and functions useless.
